Start essays in July/August/September
Prepare to take another SAT/ACT test by reviewing and taking practive tests
Register to take SAT/ACT in the fall
Attend any college fairs in your area
Design early action/early decision strategy (if applicable)

Secure letters of recommendation by October
Remember to send transcripts to colleges
Look for early decision/early application deadlines
Submit applications as early as possible for colleges with rolling admissions
Plan to have all applications submitted by December
Have your FAFSA and/or CSS Profile completed and submitted by their deadlines
Compare financial aid offers from colleges
Consider negotiating tuition options with colleges
Keep focused on doing well in courses and seek extra help when needed
Meet with your Guidance Counselor to discuss college courses options and goals for college
Study and take AP exams for AP courses you've completed (if applicable)
Take SAT Subject Test for any AP courses completed (if applicable)
Schedule extended visits to schools where you have been accepted. Meet with students and faculty members in your program of choice
